I got my bases yesterday from Dragon Forge Design, I spent last night drilling 1/4" holes for magnets and tonight I'm going to get them ready for painting and spray them black.

No pictures but I made progress again last night, I sprayed all my bases black and I basecoated the archers and swordmasters black as well. I think tonight I'll try to do the same with my remaining characters and dragon princes, then I can just dive into the painting this weekend. Tomorrow I'm going to try to paint all my bases (86 20mm bases, 20 cavalry bases and 1 50mm base) and get a start on the archers, saturday I hope to finish off the archers and paint my eagle and then sunday I'll go hard on swordmasters. The first part of next week I'm going to try to get the dragon princes done and thursday/friday of next week is reserved for character painting. I don't think I'll get it all done but I guess we'll see.

In other news, my available painting time has increased a bit, my wife is planning on going to the gym in the mornings from 5-7 so if she's getting up anyway I might as well too and get some painting done!

Here's a couple of shots of the models I have completed so far, I'd say I'm about halfway done!

Despite an all-nighter painting session I was not able to get the army done for today. Crap! I will be fielding my dragon princes in a unique black and grey color scheme that I think makes them stand out as the elite cavalry that they are Very Happy

Here are some pics of my 6" forest for Tooncon. I'm going to have a piece of flocked cardboard the same size so that if anything goes into the forest they can move around.

Thanks guys, I figured I'd put the pics in this thread to keep all my painting pics together. Sorry for the threadromancy. I'll try to post more pictures of my painting here soon.

Just teasing about the threadomancy. It's fantastic that you're keeping your thread alive which is more than I can say for myself.

I agree, that Rose is awesome. You have a really good knack for conversions and the little touches that seperate a regular army into a signature army.

This is an old conversion that I could never get to stay together, hopefully this time ive fixed it for good. I pinned the wings and added magnets to the base so that it stays upright.

Finished this guy a little while ago, I'll probably never use it but it was fun to paint. The griffon is painted as a snow leopard/harpy eagle combo if anyone is wondering.

That is really nice. I love the feathers? on the helmet. Nice change on the griffon color too from the usual scheme you see on the net.

Love that fig and you did a great job on it. I feel the same - would love to paint one up but how often would you use it?

By the way, is he flying over a giant wooden Penis?

Yep, it's a penis alright. It's meant to be a fallen pillar but it sure does look phallic. I'm going to have to do some more re-working to make it look a little less penis-y.

Slowly but surely I'm getting some terrain completed. Here's what I have so far:

This will be a shrine or chapel or pretty much whatever I need it to be once it's done:

This is the town well, it can be used for whatever as well, I just had some bits leftover:

I'm almost done my second forest and then I'm going to knock out a few hills. My goal is to have them all done to take to Don's on the 27th.

I managed to find the time to pick up a brush today and knocked this guy out, I love the model and I think I'll use him as my new general.

Next on the agenda I have a whack of bretonnians to touch up, quite a few of them need bases too.

Wow, my phone takes really shitty pictures. They looked ok on my phone but now that I look at them full size on the computer they are shit. I'll try to get some decent pictures with an actual camera sometime soon.
