I'm NOT talking you out of O&G even though they're pants, but why not finish your awesome WoC army?

Just sayin'...

Can't he do both? I've now got 4 armies on the go - Bretonnians (bringing them up to 2500 points), Dwarfs (I'm at 5000 points and counting), Wood Elves and now high elves.

Hey I'm also not limiting myself to one army but just want to have a go at 250pts per month on a number of projects.

Here are app. 4 hours of work.....2 ranks

robes, charandon highlight
skin, charandon granite, 50/50 mix granite and bleached bone, rotting flesh highlight
metals, boltgun metal washed with devlan mud, orange dappling for rust effect.....no highlights
yellows, desert sand yellow, devlan mud wash, golden yellow highlight.
wood, snakebite yellow, devlan mud wash, scorched brown lines for wood grain.

fast and table top quality ready....eat it

better pics soon as my light tent is finally in.

Holy crap, love the idea of the pale zombie look of the Goblins. Reminds me of the movie "the Omega Man" with Charlton Heston....................God I'm getting old.

You like the checkerboard theme and I think you should include it somewhere in every army that you do. Your signature, if you will. I still expect you to finish the Warrior army, but keep going with this -- this looks good.

Very cool. I think I'd be tempted to put a bit more green into the skin though. Not a bunch but maybe a green wash over the base coat and then do the pale highlights. I think what you have going on is very unique though and it will look awesome as an army. 4 hours is not much time for that many models either! Well done.

Nooooooooooooooooo, don't listen to Nathan!!!! Ever, about anything!!!!

Do NOT put anything green into this army if these Gobbo's look like that. Just like your VC, and Warriors set out to do something completely different than what people are used to.

Alright, USUALLY listen to Nathan as he often has good ideas...just not this time. Very Happy

Fair enough. I do like what you have going on Carson and Don is right... Don't ever listen to me - especially when it is about evil armies!

Actually, with better pics you'd see the skin has a green tint to it. Rotten flesh has a very pale green tint.

As night goblins live underground, I've always imagined them has having skin like this instead of the glowy green that is most often used.
My Orcs will also feature a different skin tone......real subtle light browns with probably bleached bone highlights and green washes.

3 ranks done, I hate the new netters though so I picked up a couple of old school ones (4th ed. I believe) from ebay. I'll replace them once they come in.

Nice! I wouldn't have gone for the old netters. They're WAY huge in comparison to the new plastic! They'll look like giants man!

I'll call this one done for month 1 although I'll probably go back later with a color for thier robes.

For December I'm gonna try and finish up some WOC, mainly a marauder block and my shiny new warshrine. More than 250pts but the model count seems right.

Looks real sharp Carson. Spot on with pale-faced gobbos and rusted weapons.

As a side note... is that your daughter's purse that you propped them on to take the photo?

Daughters? .....that's my man purse!
Its actually the camera case.....looks a bit like a purse though don't it.

On my side note.....when are you making your way down here abouts next, since I never get anywhere, anymore. Give us some advance notice and we'll desecrate some drinkin holes in Saskatoon. I still have flash-backs to our last roadtrip in Edmonton.

Nice Carson, it's always good to see an army getting painted.

I haven't touched anything with a brush in a really long time. I should really get my ass in gear and get going but since I'm not going to be at the tournament I have no deadline to shoot for. I do have some sweet Avatars of War minis on their way though so maybe that will be the motivation that I need.

These mini's remind me of something. Not sure what. Oh wait! Now I remember. These mini's remind me of what it must look like when a retarded gorilla shits in one hand and hold a rock in the other and slaps them together and shows the world what he has made.

Just kidding! I like them a lot. Nice work doing some freehand stuff there on the tats. When I am all said and done with my nurgle cultists I'll have about 40 marauders leftover that can only be armed with great weapons. You want 'em?

Carson, I think those look cool and the GW's came out great. This, I think will be my favorite army of yours when you're finished. Absolute genius colour scheme. Wink

Since you're not winning with the Empire anyways (blam) get going on these guys. Seriously, here's your Mona Lisa -- get painting.

Oh ya', and they're only 6 wide. I don't want to see these on the table unless there are at least 50 of them. If I had to pick apart one thing -- and you know we have to, is that the snow actually looks a little much. It looks like they were standing still and someone came and brushed them off, leaving a mound of snow at their feet.

Retarded poop and rock smashing? Ouch -- maybe Scott's just jealous he doesn't have a Warhammer army and is only able to paint one fig at a time. You give a guy one magazine cover and look what happens... Cool

Finished up my work for Jan. and took some pics of what I finished up in my WOC army since this project began. Since I finished quite early I'd like to paint up something for fun to finish off the month. Always wanted to try a few beastmen models so I'm gonna paint up 10. Not quite sure on the paint scheme but want the bases to match my WOC army. Thoughts for a color scheme on the skin.?

So here are the pics.......

I like the warshrine. Nice stuff amigo!

Beastmen are a good opportunity to try something crazy. Have you bought the mini's yet? I really like the pestigor mini's myself. I think I evewn have a dozen or so kickin' around unpainted if you're interested.

Anyway, My strong reccomendation is to take this time to work on a single mini and push it. Maybe a wizard for your army or soemthing. Your RnF is about as good as it gets, if you take a little break from punching out units I think you'll discover a trick or two you'll like and keep using it. My thoughts anyway.

Great looking army so far!

Thanks bud, Your right, I'd like to concentrate on a single mini and see what I can do with it.

I already have the Gors and am in the process of making some funk'd'fied bases for them. The beastmen plastic's are actually quite nice. Gonna go with the shield and handweapon option......nobody does them, and I like the shield's so much I have to paint them up with that option.

Sat. are the one day I get to have ALOT of hobby time.
