Dwarf Hammerers?

Post  nathanr on Wed Aug 18, 2010 5:59 pm

Anyone have some dwarf hammerers they want to get rid of? I want to have the option to make my hammerer unit really big, like 40 or 50 models. I already have 18 and command models so I'm looking for 20-25 of them.

Probably cash and possibly some avatars of war models that I ordered whenever they show up.

Edit: I also have some credit at Dragon's Den so I could get pretty much anything to trade, I just don't really want to spend $150 to buy them new.

I forgot about this Nathan! Sorry. I'll go track down what I have. I probably DON'T have the old style round shields that go on their backs though.

Just convert them out of Dwarf Warriors using all the hammer hand weapons. Cut off the tops and stick on top the great axes, put the masks on their faces, and wala.

Plus I already have 20 or so of the metal ones and I like the look of the fully ranked-up unit all with their hammers raised. It would look truly awesome to have a unit of 50! I know lots of people don't like the models but I think they are some of the best in the range.

I don't mind them as individual models, but not all ranked up together. "Everybody, on 3 hold you hammer liks THIS!". Weakness!

They drill for years getting the synchronized hammer-raise down just right!

Have you had any luck tracking these down? I need at least 5 more for my regular list but I'd like the option of adding up to 10 or 15 more for a really big unit.

Nathan I have 12, including one standard bearer. I was SURE I had more, but I couldnt find them in the Garage. 3 are in a blister and the rest have been stripped. They came pretty clean but I would rinse them under water with some dishsoap and a toothbrush 'cause they feel a little greasy. I stripped 'em with pin sol and not simple green. Maybe that's why? What do you wanna swap for?

If my Avatars of war ever come in I'll trade you some or all of those or else I've got some credit down at the den, you can pick what you want. Either that or I've got cash, name your price!

Meh, I don't want to name a price. I could go for some den bucks, AoW stuff sounds sweet too. Cash is also fun. Tell me what I get! I can drop off the sack of hammererereres at teh den tomorrow night.

How about an Avatars of War dwarf thunderlord and $20-25 of Den credit or cash? I've got the thunderlord from an earlier AoW order so you wouldn't have to wait for that. I don't need any command for the hammerers so just the 11 regular ones would be awesome. What do you think? Is that way off?

Your fig is at the Den Scott and I put $20 of credit under your name as well. You can either drop the hammerers off there or at my house (I'll PM you the address). Thanks!
