still working on the list for dark elves. Only bring 1 hydra, big unit of spearmen, larger units of black guard. not sure about the witch elves yet. Changes in rules, combat reolution and victory points mean some rethinking. Always strikes first banner kinda useless with I6, not reducing attacks back makes my darkies more squishy. maybe counter this with 60 crossbowmen

Wow, I can't believe I haven't said so before, but I'm in for sure with Lizards. (if there's still room...)

Now that I've posted my list you can see that if one round is the "breaking point" scenario then I have already lost. If that is one of the planned scenarios then I'm going to have to switch to dwarfs.

I'd prefer to know that sooner than later so I have time to paint up the models that I plan on using. Right now I'm working on dryads and an eagle but if I have to switch to dwarfs then I'm going to be painting thunderers and bolt throwers like mad.

I don't need to know what the scenarios are, I just need to know if that is one of them.

I've looked over the battles and I like what I see, though for this tournament we'll go with 1,2, and 5.

Only 2 spots left I believe.

Seriously Eric? 8 characters? That's pretty sweet. I'd do the same thing with goblins, their heros are so cheap!

How are you going to line them up? My guess is the 6 combat characters across the front of the stormvermin unit ranked up 8x4?

No. Why overload the Stormvermin? Since they are the Queek upgraded boys, they're WS5, S5, I5 already. They are choppy choppy. Spread the characters out and put some solid combat capability into each of the units.

I came up with some pretty interesting combo's for them too. The common magic items can lead to some really, really evil tricks.

So a big thanks to all those that showed up. It was a complete group of all solid competition......I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Saskatoon environment breeds the best warhammer player's.

Congrats to the winners.....overall Dominquic Mercier Ogres
the Josef Bugman award (best hobbyiest), Nathan Rinholm
best painted Wade Robinson

I will be updating the masters results ASAP
Also our league was decided last night....congrats Eric Miller and his WOC army and also for finishing top ladder spot (1 masters point). Runner up Don Matwe Deamons.

Look for an event headed your way in the near future.....legendary battle event anyone?

Re: Masters Round2 Tournament

I'll just put everything here:

League night: 2 really fun games as I saw my Bloodthirster take Karl Franz's skull home for his collection and the final game with Eric was a great, great game even though my Thirster got sucked through the Tzeentch gateway portal and is now actually serving Tzeentch...Oh, the ribbing he's gonna get from Khorne.

8th tourny:

I found out a few things...High Elves are not Daemons. Really, really like the High Elf army though and just need to adjust the list a bit....or a lot.

- Sorry to Paul Jessop for squeaking the win against his WoC, but that's 8th.....and I still won. Laughing
- Thanks to Dom for his Ogres showing me that the High Elves shouldn't be so elitest. His Giant and Tyrant weren't even in the game and he smashed the Elves like ants. It's actually good to see the Ogres get their due.
- Nathan A's Vampire Counts frustrate me as always. Those silly Undead always cause me fits but a fun game nevertheless and Nathan is always a good opponent.

And finally Carson; This all wouldn't happen without your effort and I'm sure I speak for all when I say we're grateful for the effort you put into these events. I enjoy every single person there -- even Paul Wink , and I always look forward to getting a few games in, in Saskatoon. Keep fighting the good fight.
