Masters Round2 Tournament

Post  Carson on Thu Jun 24, 2010 7:20 pm

July 31
Masters round 2 featuring the new 8th edition rules.
2500pts

3 rounds
15$ entry fee
16 players max.

Players will be scored on battle points, and a new category entitled the Hobbyiest. This category will encompass sportsmanship, the actual army build and painting....all of which will be judged by the opponent.

points breakdown of 3 rounds: 45 possible battle points, 30 possible hobbyiest points (3 sportsmanship, 3 painting, and 4 armybuild).
So the overall of 75 possible is weighted to battle points but a player will need to also score at least average hobbyiest points to take the overall title.

Hopefully this will enable new guys as well as the old gognards a chance at the overall title.

Awards will be given out to best overall, top hobbyiest, and painting...of which I will judge the winner.

I will play as a spoiler if an odd number of players sign-up.

So, post your entry here with name and army.

Dang. I am out for sure. That Saturday is a busy one for me. No chance of getting it off as I am off from July 17 to 24. Sigh.

I'd definitely like to play in another tournament, I would be bringing my lizards.

I'm definately in with Beastmen or Warriors, depending on the new rules and what I feel like.

Paul will probably be in with something or other.

And who knows, I'll let you know as we get closer, but I might even have a new mystery player interested in coming out...

I'll be in and I'll either be bringing wood elves or dwarfs. Probably wood elves.

I think that's an awesome move Nathan. I'd love to see the Woodies in action in 8th and see if they're as nerfed as everyone assumes.

I'm in with High Elves.

Damn.....why did ya have to pick the weekend I am planning on going on an long weekend get-away with my GF.

Do you guys think she would be cool if I said, "Sorry honey, I have to cancel our weekend get-away to go play Warhammer....ya, those little plastic men...."

Somehow I think that I may end up with a WHOLE LOT of free time if I tried that one....lol.

Have fun guys......

Actually Squalie hit it on the head...

Wade has actually met the perfect girl. Amazingly good looking, really smart, loves video games, baseball, and...wants to learn Warhammer...and how to paint.

Seriously...when I mentioned a Warhammer weekend in Saskatoon her first response was "Can I play?"
