Battle standards and two handed weapons

Post  Lord_Stash on Tue Dec 29, 2009 4:35 pm

So I noticed that the new chaos book doesnt say anything about the battle standard bearer not being able to take a two handed weapon or shield. I looked in the rule book and in the Q & A and nothing is said there. Is this similar in the other new army books? Are battle standards not restricted anymore?

I think that the restriction has been removed (or left out) in the new books. On a similar note Wood elf standard bearers have the restriction on non-magical weapons but I think you can give them magical ones if you want. This means you could potentially give a BSB the cheap magical bow and the hail of doom arrow to really surprise your opponent.
