Ravening Hordes 2nd Painting Challange
well here's what i thought up for the theme for this months painting challenge
"The Fav Five"
5 models, 3 of them are your command group and the other 2 regular rank+ file,
basically the models that make a units Business end. They should represent what
the unit is and kinda bring them together as a whole. They can be on infantry or cavalry
and in the event of armies that don't really rank up (ogre size) well.... at least three
models one must be a "command" model.
so there it is, same rules as last time( you guys should know them, you made them!)
I suppose the start date can be today and the dead line is ... September 16th sound good?
any thing else to add or people should know?

yeah, great idea Dom. I think I might work on Graveguard for this using the new plastics.

That sounds good, it will give me a great excuse to paint up the rest of my pegasus knights.

Re: Ravening Hordes 2nd Painting Challange
I started on my entry last night. Felt good to sit down ina single session and paint a fig! And for me, not eBay or for commission or anything. 'course then I feel the guilt for not doing those things but....meh....
I felt really good as I went back into the "box of shame" where abandoned projects go to die. At one point I had dreams of an all vanilla OnG army with the core of the army being goblins on foot and wolf. I assembled and started painting them before it kind of sunk in how many models it was. Then the 7th ed. night goblins came out and I started paint those. But now I finished painting one model that I assembled at least 5 years ago. Pretty pleased with him too!

Well done Dom! I'll post my DnF entry, but I'd like to see who else made progress. Hopefully the next one is just a single model type thingy so I can squeek it in between other stuff I have to do.

I've got a good start on my pegasus knights but I only have 2 evenings left because I'm off to Vegas on Thursday for the weekend. I'll give it my best shot but its going to be close.

With only one night available for me to paint between now and the deadline, I'm going to have to wuss out and only submit 3 pegasus knights as per Dominique's rules about 40mm based models. Hopefully I'll be able to get them finished and photographed tonight.

My wife's Mom got sick late August and passed away Sept 3rd. We've been going back and forth to Calgary constantly so I'm afraid I'm out. I will still post the unit of Bloodcrushers when they're finished just for the heck of it.

Sorry to hear that Don.
Unfortunately I did not get a chance to paint last night, we had company who would not leave so I'm a DNF as well. I'll do like Don and post the unit once I get it painted.
On the up-side, I'm off to Vegas this afternoon for a weekend of fun!
