5th edition game?

Post  RickyDMMontoya on Fri Aug 14, 2009 9:33 pm

Me and Nathan were very briefly chatting about 5th edition, and how we both have the rules and magic sets tucked away somewhere, and we raised the idea of having a games night or something using the 5th edition rules and 5th edition armies.

I don't know how realistic this is, since it may be difficult or impossible to un-learn the 7th edition rules, but I thought it would be a bit of a laugh, and I'm just throwing the idea out there to see what comes back.

I have the rulebook, the magic set and pdf's of every army book (shhh, don't tell GW), as well as hard copies of Chaos, Undead and a couple others.

I think it would be an interesting thing to do for an evening.

I forgot I even had the magic set. I tried to sell it once on Bartertown but nobody wanted it! I'll have to see what kind of list I can make up.

Ah...nostalgia.

I've got the rules, every army book, and the two magic sets.

It's the worst. I have NO nostalgia fro that period of warhammer. It eats balls.

Do you still have those books? I thought you sold them to someone else? I am still interested in taking them off your hands if you want to part with them for $$CASH$$

I didn't say they would be good games.

I just think it would be a laugh to break out the 81 point Chaos Knights again.

How about using the old 5th edition army books, but keeping the new rulebook?

I think that might be the most feasible since I have enough trouble remembering the current rules let alone rules from 2 editions ago!
