Stripping plastic figs?

Post  squalie on Thu Jul 16, 2009 11:00 pm

I just got a Khorne Daemon army in the mail and when he said the bloodletters were lightly primed he was LYIIIING!! They're painted red (not sure if there is red primer) but I'd really like to take SOME of it off at least. I've read a few threads on other websites, but have you guys actually tried to strip plastic? I'd be happy to at least thin it a little. 60 featureless Bloodletters has me seeing RED right now! Heh.

There is a red primer out there. Probably used reg. spray paint though. Get some "Simple Green" from Co-Op or any hardware store and dip the figs in at full strength. It won't harm or damage the plastic at all, I have done hundreds of plastics in the stuff. Let sit for a day or two then use a toothbrush under lukewarm water. Easy!

Scott, you should be in bed. Thanks though, I'm off to do some shopping.
