Re: Saskatoon Tournament?
Thanks Eric, I've been meaning to get to that, I've had some RURAL internet problems this week.
So here goes.
March 1/2009
2000 pts Fantasy, 3 rounds
Game start at 9am sharp so plan to be there 8:30 for set up
10$ entry fee, 16 spots open max.
game scoring breakdown:
battle 45points
painting 15
comp 15
sportsmanship 15
painting, comp, and sportsmanship will all be scored by you opponent each round from both a partial checklist and subjective score.
All entry fees will be returnded in prizes plus a special something for the winner!
As Mentioned earlier we are limited to 16 spots so reserve your place early. Just reply here or email me.

Unfortunately I am out. On top of my soccer game, I have a total of 5 other things that have since been scheduled for that day! My offer for warm-up games on the Friday or Saturday before is still open though!

I'll be in for sure. We should probably post the scenarios here. Since you said it was the UK GT scenarios, here is a link to the rules pack:

Re: Saskatoon Tournament?
I'm in. I'm going to go to the tourny in Regina Saturday and then drive to Saskatoon Saturday night. I need to know 2 things: The closest liquor store and scuzzy hotel to the Den.
Carson, how long are the games scheduled for?

I want to stick to a definite time period. 2hours and then I sweep all models off the table into the waste bin.

Re: Saskatoon Tournament?
What time is this expected to finish with 3 games? It would seem to be early with 2 hour games.

Re: Saskatoon Tournament?
I'm thinking game 1 9-11, game 2 11-1, lunch -2, game3 2-4 out by 5 at the latest, then food and drinks and crying/boasting.

Re: Saskatoon Tournament?
Can we get a list of entries? I may have Rob, Mark and Alex coming with me so it'd be great to see how many slots are open.
Thanks, Carson.
Thanks, Carson.

DON! If you're making fun of your friends you need to call them "pansies". Panzies make it sound like you're abbrevieating "Panzers" which would be AWESOME to have friends like that.

Re: Saskatoon Tournament?
Hey Carson, what are your comp rules going to look like for this tournament?

Re: Saskatoon Tournament?
I believe he is basing it on the following:
you answer three
questions for one point each, then give your opponent 1-4 additional
points. 7, obviously, is the highest score possible, and you were only
allowed to give one 7 all weekend.
If I remember correctly, the three questions were along the lines of:
1. Did my opponent have equal or fewer points in characters as I did? If he
did, he got one comp point. If you were close (50 points, I think?) you
both got the point.
2. Did my opponent have equal or fewer minimum-sized Core units as I did?
If he did, he got one comp point.
3. Was you opponent's army WYSIWYG?

Re: Saskatoon Tournament?
Wow, I actually really like that idea. I like the "did he have more of X than I did".

Re: Saskatoon Tournament?
Plus there is a the subjective element on top of the hoops to jump through, so it gives you the ability to reward valour and punish cowardice.

Re: Saskatoon Tournament?
So 12 spots filled only 4 left. If you want in you better decide soon!
