This is the camping one correct? I'd like to get a team together for this.

Kieran hasn't talked to us after no one showed for the last event, so we need to make good. Wink

I hate camping, A hotel must be around somewhere right? Very Happy

This would be a lot of fun, don't know if I could sell a weekend away in July though.

Yes, July is family vacation month and I doubt if a warhammer weekend would qualify.

Maybe I'll change my vacation sched at work.

On another note, I heard you talking about a tournament in April......if this is happening I'd like to make that trip.

You're probably thinking of GrotsCon in Red Deer on April 29-30.

So, it looks like I'm going to the Red Deer event April 29. I'd also like to (am going as I have enough time to book it off) go to the Thunda in the Tundra event in July - but I need 3 more guys and we need to decide what armies as there is no repeat factions.

Who wants to go?

How do i sign up for Red deer and find the tourny rules. Don want to car pool? Also I am in for the team event...wifes holidays dont conflict so far. I would likely be taking dwarfs but if we get our team we'll have to sit down and list build together.

Looks like me, Carson and Andre are going. Could use a fourth! And even another car full of four. Smile

Don are you going to run point for this collaboration? At no point do our armies play on the same table and we cant have the same magic items per team...wonder what the reasoning behind this is. Maybe the Edmonton guys are running in to an 'auto take' item...or to avoid dispell scrolls...hmmm

Just to be clear, You me and Carson are attending the Grotscon in Red Deer end of Month. It's 5000 points, 2 days and if we go that'll make about 20 people so far, so not a bad event. We could take another person, again if anyone's interested.

The July event (this thread) Kieran could probably fill you in as I'm not sure why, but that shouldn't be an issue for us.

The motivation for restricting the armies and items within your team is two-fold. 1- to press for diversity in list design 2- to force the four teammates to actually get together in advance to design forces and make plans. In our past 2 team events this has really worked to encourage inclusiveness and sense of team belonging.

I'm assuming everyone is going to be fighting over the 100 point 4+ Ward save and the 80 point 4+ Regen

My Tomb Kings or Daemons won't be fighting for anything really. Maybe a Warbanner - that's it? I could run a Mage led High Elf army and only fight for Mithril Mail. Elves are squishy. Sad

Swag tastic, i dont use Mithril mail in Ogres, only in O&G

I dont need the 4+ Regen as Ogres have their own version

the 4+ ward i would like for my mage because he cant take magic armour (Armour of Destiny) BUUUT if someone who wasnt a 4 wound toughness 5 model needed the 4+ Ward then thats where it would go.

Banners in my Ogres are all Ogre banners. So no worries there.

Hrm any team with a Dwarf player has an unfair advantage almost, as they only really need to split up the major magic items between 3 armies now. And arcane items etc.

Excellent for us!

So, we should see who's going to this. Extra players are welcome as there are teams looking for a 4th.

4 would be great. 8 players would be ideal!

Maybe? It might land on the one weekend in July that I don't have anything up! I'll see what I can do. When do I need to know for sure?

I don't think there's a super rush. Phil Harlow was wondering how many are making the trip.

Figured I'd at least try to get him a probable head count.
