Empire List for Sat.

This looks to be the list I'm running this Saturday.

Marshal - General, Imperial Prince with The Sonnsthal, Lucky Shield and The Charm of Cursed Icon riding on a Dragon
Marshal - BSB With Hero's Sword and Black Helm
Prelate - Star Mace and Blessed Armor of Frederick the Great
Artificier - Long Rifle

50 Halberdiers with Full Command
10 Crossbowmen with Musician
5 Elector Cavalry with Lance, Shield standard and musician
5 Elector Cavalry with Lance, Shield standard and musician

38 Imperial Guard Full command with Aether Icon
Steam Tank
Mortar
5 Reiters with Brace of Pistols, Heavy Armor and Musician
5 Imperial Rangers
20 Flagellants

4994 Points

Not much for magic but a good list with lots of tools.

The long rifle is awesome, just read it and i like. Looks like a tough list. I like that the knights are broken into two smaller units of 5, fire and forget missiles for the flanks lol.

No Altar of Battle?

Do you ever use Parent or Support units? or just to gimmicky ?

I thought about running two units of halberdiers (20) on the flanks for suppporting charges for my imperial guard but like having the second big block. A more optimized list would be running state militia for support (10 pistols shots as a stand and shoot when you charge my imperial guard is nice). Only supporting I will be doing is if I get charged near my crossbows, they'll stand and shoot.

No Altar, running a dragon instead because... dragons.

Crossbows with an Engineer have 36 inch range which I like.

I am also a fan of two large blocks, anvil meet HAMMER. ahh i was reading the army book wrong i didn't realize that "Heavy Infantry" was the light armour wearing halberds .... interesting name, light troops get ranged weapons and no light armour... so i can only assume armourless troops run around with no skin? haha

Because dragons is a good reason lol.

Yeah 36" is nice but the 2 wounds and the 48" range with no minuses for long range. Much nicer, lets you deal with warmachine hunting chaff because they are in range almost immediately more so if they scout or vanguard.

I have fear for that mortar now... much fear.

Just made a list with two Mortars, two Engineers and a support base for my Imperial Guard.

the name of the game is turtling and if you charge my imperial guard, you get 50 stand and shoot reactions that are Str 4.

I really like double 5xElectorial Cav. They have good punch and can chaff well (1+ Armor save chaff!). Plus they are scoring for secondary objectives and relatively fast.

I tried to print off the list but all I got was a print out of "Fuck you" and a middle finger.

The printer was accurate lol. Fuck that noise.

Didnt realize the 5 man units of knights were scoring too, definitely awesome. +3 for you and -3 for them is HUGE plus a 1+ save means they will beable to beat most other chaff, except maybe those Khorne hounds

I've been trying to find a small 5 man fast scoring unit to literally hide until turn 6 then grab objectives in some games, and games without objectives just use em as chaff. Knights are perfect for that because they score... hrm
