How many wounds does your general have?http://i43.servimg.com/u/f43/12/53/18/89/img_8711.jpg

I'm looking forward to using this guy in a few challenges!

I never get tired of looking at that Forge World, Great Unclean One. Very, very nice. Can't wait to see this army.

With a Herald of Nurgle these boys are the sturdiest infantry in the game!

I dunno, Grave Guard joined by a Drachenhof carrying Wight King might beg to differ.

Hey Scott, you should throw your GUO up on CoolMiniOrNot. That thing will get the votes.

Hey, I thought I would follow your advice and give it a shot. Here's the link to my stuff. Man, people are harsh!

http://www.coolminiornot.com/artist/ScottRadom

I was hoping for about a 7 on each of these guys. Oh well. Man there is some really inspiring stuff on that page. There's also some absolute shit, which is also inspiring in a twisted sort of way. I mean, you can always say "At least I can paint eyballs in their sockets as opposed to a white blob on the models cheeks".

Hey, so I got a 5.8 on the Plague Bearer command (dissapointing to myself) and about a 7.2 on the GUO, which was kinda nice. Hooray for me! I reccomend anyone who is curious to see how they stack up to give it s shot. It wasn't as bad as I thought.

Do you ever STOP painting?! Looks good, I think that's an awesome fig.

You wanna' know the problem with your army? There is no sense anyone putting together a Nurgle army as it just wouldn't look as good as this one. You just smashed my Nurgle goal, thank you very much!!

Very well done.

Thanks! Nurgle stuff is absolutely the best for trying out new techniques. Everything from painting, green stuff conversions (Haven't done this yet), absolutely everything looks okay with this stuff. Messy brush strokes etc. don't look out of place on a plaguebearer but you couldn't get away with it on and elf or dwarf for example.

You must build a Nurgle army. Everyone must, it's too much fun to collect and paint!

And no I don't ever stop painting. I strive to paint for at LEAST 1/2 hr a day no matter when I have to squeeze it in.

Epidemius Done!

Post  ScottRadom on Thu Jul 31, 2008 10:58 pm

Awesome model, lot's of fun to paint. Probably 30 hrs including a long assembly process. I am happy with everything but the banner. My freehand painting lacks skill and style. Always next time!

I love the model, and the paint job. You're right about the banner, but I don't know what else you would do with it. I'd have probably just cut them off but I like to hack at stuff and it doesn't usually improve the models!

Nurgle Herald

Post  ScottRadom on Sat Aug 02, 2008 12:08 am

Well I had every intention of hammering out some dwarfs tonight but after I based them I decided to pick up a model form the way back bin and paint him up. I plan on using him as a plain old herald of Nurgle. Just gots to splash some static grass on the base and it's done.

Try painting up a couple of large nurgle symbols on the banner. Great paint job and I like the model sculpt but for some reason it always reminds me of Jabba the Hut.....he needs a naked princess Leah chained to the palanquin.

I've always been partial to the old Plaguebearers -- for nostalgic reasons. I used to have 3 units of 24.

I love the new models. Not so much the old ones. The "smiley/red" period of GW stuff didn't really do it for me. Part of why I always loved the Nurgle color scheme is because it stayed away from that trend at the time. If you ever, for whatever reason, need to add a couple old models to your 72 plaguebearers I have a couple kicking around.
