I'll make it in the afternoon. If there is space for me to play a game or two that would be great, otherwise I can just hang out and help with whatever needs doing.

I'll probably be there Friday night and stay at the Chateau de Gallant. Pretty nice place and the rates are incredible.

With everyone but Geoff in the league lets make all tournament games (even against Geoff) count as league games. That way everyone can get more games to count.

I talked to Andre, looks like we're going to go $10 entry fee for the tournament and $10 for the league. I'll throw in the extra $100 either for the tournament or the league, doesn't matter to me which one so there will be lots of swag up for grabs.

If you are signed up and cannot attend, you should know by now and should let Andre know. Friday night cancellations are shitty and will result in public shaming.

I will be there 100 % with a Tomb King army. I'm driving up solo Saturday morning tunes cranked and java full.

Looking forward to this, really wish i could have practiced my list but my opponents have poofed into thin air this last week.

Just a thought.... use the $100 for a future tournament once we start attracting more poeple, try to make a bigger event

I won't be there for breakfast. Bob has a good point, maybe I'll hang onto the money for a bit longer and add it to the prize support for a bigger tourney in the future.

What I saw yesterday at the tourney was pretty cool and it seemed and felt like old times. A bunch of familiar faces enjoying Warhammer.

Big thanks to Andre for putting on the show. It went relatively smooth and will only get better from here once the rules have settled and have been digested. It seemed every one had a good time and I can only imagine what our hobby would be like (again) if we had 2-3 times that many guys. I drove home thinking of other lists and armies to build and appreciated we have a good crowd of gamers.

I'm issuing a challenge: Everyone try to introduce one person to Warhammer.

Of course it could be a face we used to see and haven't in a while, or a guy that you know would fall way down the rabbit hole of Warhammer. Let's go door-to-door if we need and scare a few guys off the couch, who in turn may know a few more.

Anyhow, I'm glad I'm playing 9th and have a good bunch of guys to argue with over plastic soldiers.

Was alot of fun, lost vs Ogres and Dark Elves. Won vs Brets and High Elves. All armies were tough and most of the games could have gone either way. thanks for hosting Andre. Definitely could see that some people who were losing motivation for warhammer are back in full swing it seems. i know this weekend alone crazy motivated me to get more of my stuff built and painted. Half finished the Necrosphinx i bought already and started an assembly line to paint skeletons.

One thing i will say about the day is the new point values for fleeing and half units changed everything. Just because it looks like someone has the advantage on the field doesnt meant they actually are winning point wise.

OK OK i get it, no more surrendering, even tho i didnt see it in the rules Wink . I only surrendered because i really wanted the last place prize ! And because Dom paid me to Wink said something about all the victories for himself? Well i hope it didnt ruin Doms day to much not getting to finish crushing the rest of the skeletons, sorry for that if it did.

Altho i will say that surrendering is a completely valid tactic, could have been all part of my elaborate plan to lure his ogres into a false sense of bravado against my skeletons so he gets over confident next time we meet on the battle field when there could possibly be an even BIGGER prize on the line, see Wink all according to plan gents. But im a big picture kind of guy.
