Yes - M3's are cheaper points wise - and yet have a higher AT and more ROF with their Turret gun compared to their Hull gun.

Oh figured out why i dont like those IS-85's. No rotating turret, wth is that crap junk.

Cheaper point wise with their crappy gas engines vs diesel T-34's humming 500+ horsepower V12 engines. Vroom baby. Plus M3's were a rushed "make do" tank that were lent to the Russians. Idk seems un fluffy.

As i would too be happy to meet Lance there, but fear not many many people have tried beating stuff into my head, wont work. Ill know exactly what happens every game. Charge, roll like a boss. Victory.

That would be an ISU85 = an antitank not a tank & not an IS85

Last time I faced an IS2 list I rolled on to the objective with my Panzer II Luchs without firing a shot...and easily won the game Twisted Evil

FoW version (IS85)

Real one (IS85)

Real IS2:

Now again realize there is a SU85, T34/85, ISU85, KV85 & an IS85 = they have an 85mm gun; see the pattern?

So had my first game against Lance in Regina and got my butt kicked. Early War game, his German mechanized list vs my Soviet tank list. Was definitely a learning experience. I can definitely see the appeal to this game, i over confidentally thought 7 T-34 could assault his infantry held objective. I have since learnt better. I also picked up the rule book and Red Bear. So i have some learning to do for my next game!

My guess is that Lance was using Sean for a fluff-up game before the Early War tournament on the 18th. You know like how the big division football schools in the states will play a game with a smaller crappier school before the season starts and blow them out of the water in order to get the teams' confidence up.

Why not early war? Everything starts somewhere. Plus my badass T-34's got to play for the whole war.

We have 6 tournaments a year in Regina:
2 EW
2 MW
&
2 LW
- one of the above is also a Doubles Tournament
- we also have at least one major event a quarter. So far this year we have had Monte Cassino and the next event is Kursk
It keeps everything fresh and fun. The tactics & weapons are quite different from one era to the next.

They are quite the Monster in EW, still very good in MW, & in large quantities in LW

Sure...except Sean was slowly but surely grinding me down before the might of his T-34s. He had nullified my Stukas, & killed my only deccent AT asset. It was just my PBI that stood in his way.
Game was a 5-2 victory = would not call that kicking his butt. 6-1 is that and it was very close to a 4-3 as only one gun team remained of my other AT unit.
It was a good first game.

Ya, I tried making a few early war lists but I just can't get myself excited about them.  Maybe mid-war, I could potentially make an American list that would work for me but again, I'm just not excited about any of my options.  I really like the late war lists that I have though.

What's a good British Mid-war book?

Why not?
The BAR is still quite effective.
