I sent it on Wednesday January 6 at 4:37.  I sent you two lists, the first one is the one I'll be using.  Actually, looking at my sent mail, I think I accidentally e-mailed them to you twice on the same day.
Hmmmm - I cannot see/find them - could you please resend to cigamnogard@sasktel.net ?
Cost is $5.00 entry fee

Painted the bases and crew for the 25pdrs last night, tonight it's just going to be the 25 pdrs themselves which I assembled last night and then pack everything up so it's ready to go tomorrow. The 25pdrs are very similar to the guns I already had, probably wouldn't have made much of a difference if I'd just kept those and used them as 25pdrs. The only difference I can see is the larger piece at the end of the barrel on the 25pdrs and a larger gun shield. I guess those differences are what make them 25pdrs and not 18/25pdrs. Still, I feel like I could probably use the 18/25pdrs to fill out the artillery battery if I ever wanted to go to 8 guns for a fun game.

Very slight difference - pretty much just the muzzle brake.
Nobody would have commented - and now you have 8 25 pounders!
That is a lot of smoke!

Only LW specific 25 pounders have a muzzle brake. The carriage and gunshields are different on the 18/25 pdr and 25 pdr. Granted they are a reasonable approximation.

Good to know, I managed to paint up the 25 pdrs last night as well as put a wash on everything and color code all my bases so now I should be ready to go. If I never put another brush on these guys it will be ok because they are to the point where I'm happy with them. I might go back later and do some finishing on them but probably not.

Made a fun list that I might try to build at some point, I'd need to buy a lot of tetrarchs though.

Company Command:
2 Tetrarch CS
1 Captured Sd Kfz 10/5 (2cm)

Combat Platoons:
2 Tetrarch, 1 Tetrarch with Littlejohn adapter
2 Tetrarch, 1 Tetrarch with Littlejohn adapter
2 Tetrarch, 1 Tetrarch with Littlejohn adapter
2 Tetrarch, 1 Tetrarch with Littlejohn adapter

Weapons Platoons:
Airborne Assault Platoon (Universal Carrier with addition hull-mounted MG & 4 Motorcycle Pioneer Rifle Teams)

Support Platoons:
Airlanding Platoon
Airlanding Platoon
Airlanding Antitank Platoon (4x 6pdrs, command rifle team and jeeps to tow them)
Infantry Field Battery (8x 25pdrs, 2 observers, 3 command rifle teams, 1 staff team)

10 Platoons! Everything but the arty is fearless veteran and they are confident vets. I think it would do medium to well against infantry but suffer against armoured. The tetrarchs are only AT7 or the ones with Littlejohn adapters are AT9 no HE. I'd need 9 more Tetrarch tank models which would be expensive and probably more than I'm willing to spend on a gimmicky list.

Re: Nathan R's FOW Thread

I've been printing terrain slowly but steadily. My printer is small for printing buildings so I have to do 1 floor or 1 roof at a time and each one takes 3-6 hours. Still, it's coming along. I have 3 buildings done although I'm going to print a second floor for one tonight. I also found a cool wrought iron fence model with gates, corners etc that I'm using to make a neat little village square. Once I get it all assembled and painted up I'll post pictures.

One thing I don't like about the buildings is that there is nothing holding the building floors and roof together. I may try using magnets to hold everything together or maybe just some rubber tape to at least give the joints some friction.

Here is a link to the buildings I'm using:

And here is a link to the fence:

Those look really good. Your printer is only single extruder right?

Yep, one Color only.

Once I'm done the buildings I'm going to try make dug-in markers for my company. I found a decent model for sandbags that I could modify to fit around the various sized bases.

Nice fence!
Reminds me of some Horror Flick!
So - can I count on you to do up a table for Regionals next year?

When is it? I could probably get enough stuff together that I could make it happen.

I can make you some terrain Don, let me know what you want and we can work something out. The T-Rex head I don't think I can make much bigger than what I've got.

I know - I was just teasing. I WOULD like to find a way to make the biggest T Rex Skull possible. What's the biggest reasonable 3D printer you can buy? Reasonable.

For less than $1000 you could have something that has about double the print volume of mine and equal or better resolution.

I just looked into it. You can buy a full scale T-Rex skeleton for $100,000 USD and have to wait six months for delivery. It's based off the largest Male Rex ever found (I have a Dinosaur fetish). A 3D printer would be cheaper. Smile

Can you imagine having this in your front room?
