So, now you see how advanced thinking we are at Edmonton's Onslaught.

That's fine, I probably won't play with anything approaching those percentages ever. The only exception is that I can now actually field Dwarf High King Thorgrim Grudgebearer in an actual game.

I do t like the 50 % thing for two reasons.
1. I love sing lots of troops on the feild
2. It only helps armys that dont really need help (imo)

I can see a few builds that i would take now that i couldnt before because it was 10-20 even 30 points over 25%, but beyond that i would rather have more trops.

Is there a link to the lore of undead anywhere?

No, it's in the Nagash book. I can post later if you'd like.

The strong rumour is that you can summon Daemons with the new Glotkin book this weekend.

This games a changin'!

Yeah I need to play a game or two here, and then I'll be back!

Anyways I don't know how I feel about the rules yet. It seems like something that everyone will think is a big deal, but then it wont be... probably.

But what I do know is I love the new models, especially the big Nurgle lords riding those big monsters. I wonder if the new Nurgle mounts will be options for characters other than chaos lords. An ogre riding one would be crazy cool.

I can definately see a shift from fitting 25% lords and 25% heroes into 40% lords and 10% heroes. But I guess that still depends on the army and if it's better to have characters dispersed to all units for leadership or other specials. Other then a few broken builds with DPs (who are already broken IMO) I don't think it makes it too unfair as too many points in characters has significant draw backs.
I did see another comment in Kingston that it could be a push by GW to get more people involved in the game as you could use fewer models to get going. Maybe economically their big push towards large infanty hordes didn't work in the end, although it might have made the best game play.
WoC is certainly not hurting from the new rules...

.

I'm with you on the sentiment about it "being a big deal, but then it won't be"
There is inevitably an adverse reaction to changing how you used to do things. It's just human nature to resist change. Other than to try things out here and there, I doubt you'll see anyone spending 1/2 their army points on characters. What we'll likely see, are more armies with a fighty monster rider that still include their LVL 4 wizard. Potentially more character walls like Bretonninans, Skaven and Dwarfs tend to do. And the Sword of Anti-Heroes in every army!

The hero wall is silly, i dont lije it for the simple reason it does not fit with my idea of what warhammer should be. Im cool with the idea of a dragon rider pluss lv 4 caster, basicly you gain a monster in place of a unit and thats cool with me because i also like seeing monsters. Now double Dps or double greater daemons.... thats just stupid, and the sad part is that would be a totaly good viable army. Like i said i feel it only helps the builds that are allready aproching broken. Most armies i dont see benefiting from more points tied up in heros, it would just mean less room for special and rare.

I would play against an army with double dps but i would conversely field three units of thunderers thane general and individual units of dragon slayers and daemon slayers (nine and eight) just for the hell of it.
