The woes of two-part epoxy

Post  Carson on Fri Oct 31, 2008 1:09 pm

I though you guys might get kick out of this since alot of us use this product.

A customer brought his truck over for repair this week. The front cover of his engine was leaking oil badly. Quite a large job to take apart the entire front end of the truck to get at this cover. This morning I made it down to the last few items and found that some epoxy had been poured along the side of the leaking cover to try and stop the leak. Needless to say the epoxy had coated the bolts and hardend. I spent about an hour chipping off the epoxy so that I could take the last few bolts out.

Just when a person thinks he has seen it all!

Homer Sayer uses J-B weld (two part epoxy) when working on the vehicles for our Canadian Military. No shit either...
