Nagash Returns!

Here's the most powerful dude the Warhammer World has ever seen....and he's 1000 points. Shocked

Meh. When are you ever going to use him? Hard enough justifying a 700 point character. Anyone up for a 10 000 pt game?

Does he have 3 arms? The model looks to be roughly the same size as the new treeman. In fact, it looks strangely similar almost, like they used the same 3D model as the base and then added different accessories.

He's got suitably over-the-top rules for who he's supposed to be, I imagine they'll have some special rules for using him that'll allow you to fit him into games less than 4000 points, otherwise they aren't going to sell too many.

Hopefully the campaign book and the other new models that are rumoured to be coming are well-done.

I'm sure there's rules that allow for his point discrepancy. Also, the campaign allows for all armies to field undead.

Quite frankly, I love the model. I see a converted Heirotitan in my future.

This is a great move to flesh out the Warhammer mythos. Nagash has such an influential role in the development of 2 Warhammer armies that his presence on the occasional battlefield will be welcome for most who appreciate WH lore. At first glance, the model looks as though he might be able to lead a tyranid hive fleet, but anything is better than the Killer Clown model that represented him in the past.

+1 to Don for spotting the hierotitan potential as well.

Did anyone pick up the book this weekend? I'm interested to know if it's worth buying if I'm never going to play undead.

I picked up the book it's a good read, it combines both books into one army. Nagash is awesome he summons at triple the normal rate. But most of the cost is the story book that it comes with and like 20 scenarios.

has anyone found a nicely compiled list of all the storyline things that happen in the book? There are several threads on Warseer and other such forums but they are full of off-topic rants and discussion. I'm looking for a blog post or something similar where I don't have to sift through a ton of crap to find the information.

I just ordered this

http://www.games-workshop.com/en-CA/Warhammer-Nagash-Limited-Edition

I am very interested in this for some reason, Also ordered another box of skeles for my slowly growing VC collection.

From stuff im reading all over the internets people are dying off, the Brets lost there king and some magic lady or something. The super Runesmith of the dwarfs Throek or w/e his name is lost his assistant Kraggi who died, Krell killed a couple big name dwarfs apperently. Crazy shit is going on. This is going to be alot of fun and maybe breath some life into the game again.

So the dwarf forum seems very angry with this end of time stuff. alot of super dwarfs are dying. and since dwarfs have no wizards they have no way of using the undead lore or summoning undead. So dwarfs grumbling about not getting anything but more 0pt enemies outta this End of Time

EVERYONE is dying off.....

I can see Dwarf players snotty about being left out, but jeebus - that's just more Warhammer whining.

Teclis and Maliketh doing a handshake which is supposed to reveal some big lie between the Elves which may bring them together. Elves possibly in one book as Ulthuan sinks into the ocean from something Mazdamundi does - which of course changes the whole landscape of the Warhammer world. May as well throw out the maps you have, because they'll need to be updated. Apparently from the oceans changing it forces some Skaven out of their Rat holes and Empire takes a naaaasty shite-kicking.

Chaos is in October with a few box sets and allegedly their own big book/new units. Time to flex their muscles.

Round 2.

So, with the new book coming out this weekend, the information from people who got their books early is starting to roll in. Karl Franz gets a combined profile with his griffon. I can see that kit flying off the shelf starting this weekend. Apparently his statline is: 6,7,5,6,5,9,7,10,10 and costs 810 points. Not bad for an old man.

Glotkin is: 6,6,3,6,6,12,1,5,10 and also costs 810.

I have no idea what their special rules are.

Discuss!

It seems to me that the 50 % lords is starting to make sence, the price of them is going up so you need the points to fit them in.

The combined stat line is nice, most of the time the hero does not have the attacks or the strength to wield the weapon he has. But if karl franz still caries ghal maraz (?) I think that could be a tad overpowering. 10 atacks that wound automatically with no armour saves and becoming D3! Step aside daemon prince you have just met your match...

Make that D3+1. Ouch. He also has a sweet lightning bound spell that can do up to 3D6 S6 hits.

Interesting. Daemons are now unstable instead of Daemonic instability. Nathan. R. will like that. Smile

Did daemons need a nerf? How about giving woc dps unstable. That would be fair.
