Beautiful Dwarf Mini

Post  ScottRadom on Thu Mar 13, 2014 10:11 pm

I was browsing and caught this picture.  There are a few people painting dwarfs right now and I found this pretty inspiring and thought I'd share.

I don't think that is NMM, I think it is glazed metallics. Very well done, not a huge fan of the mini but the paint job is flawless.

I think it is actually NMM, but I have studied it long and hard because it isn't absolutely easy to spot. I love this paint so much. Don I don't normally like NMM as it usually looks really cartoony even when done at a high level. It's rare to get realistic NMM but this guy obviously just shits all over the typical way it's done. What a talent!

Ya, that's definitely NMM, which I've always appreciated when done right. I've tried it a few times and it just doesn't stick with me - which is good as it'd take forever to do an army like this.

I don't mind the surreal look that NMM can give (on occassion) just to give a different perspective I suppose. It also seems to lend well to certain companies better than others - if you know what I mean?

Oh for sure Don, some stuff looks silly in metalics. I think of the new Super Dungeon Explore anime style shit and things like that.
