I'm painting 21 White Lions for this month. I don't want a frowny face.

I'll be painting my temple guard to go with my slann Smile. Maybe they will have better luck if they are painted:lol!:

It's a fact. Science has proven it.

Cursed bases! I'm not even part of this challenge and I still feel the pressure to finish the bases for all my models... Well played sirs, it shall be done.

Should we post progress pictures here or not? Will that just clutter the thread? I posted the White Lions to show they are on the way!

The more pictures the better! Are those golds done with GW paints or did you pick up some new ones?

Damn I love those White Lion models, reason enough to build HE I think. Love the colour scheme as well, great job so far.

That is Gehenna's Gold (new). The models are just base coated so far. The gems, eyes, red and gold highlights still need to be done. With the cloaks needing a drybrush as they look a touch flat. It's pretty obvious when they are next to the army how dull they look.

I almost don't feel like painting them. In today's game the unit couldn't hit a darn thing and just ended up running for the border - just to be ran down by Ogres.

Can't wait to see them finished, how does the new gold compare in look to the old. I've had trouble matching colors to the old paints.....even when they are supposed to be the same.

Maybe not a good example but here's the difference with Gehenna's on the left and Shining Gold on the right. It looks even worse in the flesh. They aren't even close. Gehenna's just comes out red unless it's straight from the pot and anyone worth their salt knows what happens when you keep using metals straight out of the pot.

Since I refuse to do any more metals until I get better Golds, I'm building and priming. Started on a Skycutter Chariot as I actually like the model. Don't know where this painting surge is coming from but I hope it holds up!

Do we get an extra prize if we do 6 months of painting in 2 months? Very Happy

have you got some different colors of brown on the eagle or is it the picture. Either way I like where its going. The GW metal golds are shit, definitely be picking up some Vallejo next time I'm in.

I did up some more bases for my Dark Elves, I just need 20 more cavalry bases and 3 more chariot bases and I'll have all the bases for my 2500 point army done! I'll add the snow and grass once the mounts are on the bases and painted.

I hope to make some more progress on the actual models this week, I'll have some more pictures soon.

nicely done Nathan. You've always been good at your basing, something I really appreciate. Good job.

For the challenge I'm using this BSB and 4 cold one knights as my 5 cavalry models:

I still need to add some more snow and grass tufts to the bases in the rear rank.

I'll be painting a chariot in December.
