Snow Basing

Post  nathanr on Thu Sep 26, 2013 2:38 pm

Hey guys, anyone have any advice when it comes to snow on bases? Any cool tips or tricks? Products that work/don't work? I'm wanting to spend some real effort on my bases for this army so any and all tips are welcome.

Using the power of Google I managed to come across this handy tutorial:

Which of these methods have you guys tried? What do you prefer?

I take white glue and mix it with snow flock, throw it on the base and then sprinkle more snow flock on top. done.

I did exactly as Carson described. If you don't dust some flock on afterwards the glue may turn the snow yellow (ha ha). I did this for my High Elves. If you like that copy it, if you don't - definitely don't do what I did.

I just tried the white glue/baking soda method and it seems like it is going to look good. I'll wait for the glue to dry before I give the final verdict but so far it's looking quite convincing.
