Can't tell much from the blurry pictures but they look pretty cool actually. If I were to make a lizardman army I'd have as many big dinos as possible! However, I doubt any of this new stuff is core so I'd still be forced to bring skinks or saurus.

Is it wrong that I'm probably most excited for the grainy photo of the battalion that show what I think is a rank of skinks with bows? Oh ya and new carnosaur, and magical carnosaur, and the armored one, and what I think will be a cc version of terradons. Though that also makes me excited for the regular terradons possibly going in a slightly more shooty direction

Much paint will be spilled and dollars spent, but they will all be mine!

I'm glad you guys are excited about the release. I'm also glad I don't play Lizzie's as the new models just look so so to me. The carnosaur just looks plain. And I'm sooo not into the Jurassic park paint jobs.

I would trade my whole unpainted Tomb Kings army for an unpainted Lizardman army right now... I LOVE the lizard theme...

Dang. Had a look at the new bigger, better, clearer, pictures and still don't like the paint jobs, but really quite like the models.

 Crow tastes awful!

I just saw the clearer pics and I like what I see. GW paint job is awful as usual but in other hands I think they will be awesome. I particulary like the skink riding some sort of large dinosaur and the new terradon riders.

Can't wait.

So now that the book has been out for a bit does someone care to write up a review? What's changed? Any cool new magic items? How do the new units stack up? I'm interested in how this new book works.

Temple Guard can stand toe to toe with chaos warriors. Saurus warriors could as well if they are buffed

Actually in the 3 games vs lizard ive had against lizard. A horde of saurus with spears are quite good. And makes predatory fighter trigger off quite a few times. Especially when paired with the dino that has a one use only buff that triggers it on a 5 or 6.

So ive been doing some reading and i was wondering if Preditory fighter only works on the first rank?

"Of course, a warrior making a supporting attack is rather more constricted by the press of bodies than one who is face to face with his foe. To represent this, he can only ever make a single Attack, regardless of the number of Attacks on his profile, or any bonus Attacks he might otherwise be entitled to because of special rules or other unusual effects."

Im not sure what the exact wording on Preditory Fighter is tbh

I havn't seen any restriction on it in the lizard book. There are probably pages of arguments about it on the net somewhere by now.

I really like some of the combinations that one can use with the new book. The ripperdactls look good on paper but I'd like to see them work in a game. Love the skink on the troglodon? but not sure if its worth the points....I hope it is.

Where is Zach when you need him?

There are pages of arguements about the predatory fighter rule. Nowhere does the rule say that you get to break the rule of supporting attacks. These kinds of arguements drive me batty. Basically it comes down to people fighting for a rule that isn't here that would work in their favour because "it doesn't say that I CAN'T do that".

There's no rule that states I can't smash your models with a hammer - but that would be silly wouldn't it. Wink

Wait are we allowed to use hammers? A character skink on a ripperdactle running up a flank in a unit. Scarry buisness no? Honestly untill thereis more solid ruling on the supporting attacks with preditory fighter it wouldnt bug me if we gave it to the lizzys. For how many times it truley came into play it definatly wasnt game changing. Im enjoying the new book tbh.

Someone send out the Zach signal!

Why would we let them have a rule that doesn't exist?

If we use the rules that govern critical thinking in philosophy, this would fall under the fallacy known as "burden of proof". This states that in any argument the burden of proof lies with the person trying to prove something IS the case. You cannot shift the burden of proof to the party who believes that it isn't the case by saying "prove it's not true". This type of argument is more broadly known as "appeal to ignorance", and is one of the most common forms of faulty reasoning.

Does this make the problem more clear? I have to say, I don't even know what that rule is.

I hadn't even taken the supporting attacks rule into account, but this would mean that Lizards would have to roll 2 sets of attacks. My head hurts

Im not giving them a rule im just saying if there was any debate that i wouldnt argue it? But rolling two sets of dice for each cc with more then one rank o jeez. Nothing is clear now its all madness!!
