Nathan, unless I missed it - what's your address?

I'm probably going to the Den at 10:30, have a game with Carson, spend my credit and then stop by after that.

Address is 1314 Conn Avenue. Pretty close to the Den actually. Looks like we'll have a good turnout, I'm looking forward to it. I'll be painting up a converted green knight.

How early can people start coming?

I would like to get an early start because I have to be gone between 5pm and 6pm. I play Pathfinder every Saturday night with my wife and friends.

I'll see what my wife has planned and I'll let you know. I was thinking 10:00ish but I'll probably be up earlier than that. I'll let you know closer to the day.

Showing up at 10:00am would be fine for me. Will take me 30 mins to chat and set up my stuffs, so it would give a solid 6.5 - 7 hours of painting time. Should be done a mini by then.

It is starting to look like I might be painting up a Doomwheel. I can't assemble it without painting the pieces first. I think it would be a good piece to paint there, as I will be having to do wood, metallics, a few models included in there.

Not from me. I will have to take off around 5:00pm - 5:30pm because of evening commitments. But I will be there around 10am.

Out! No babysitter for me. Sucks 'cause with the wife fucking off to Vegas I'll want to get away from the bastard kids. But no dice. So lets start planning the next one.

Too bad, we'll miss you. Yes to planning the next one! I think we should make it a fairly regular thing and just add painting into what happens on league nights sometimes.

Looks like I may not make it tomorrow. The crazy snowstorms may have me working for the weekend.

Hmm, down to 3. That's too bad Don, although this definitely means we'll have to plan a sequel. I'll still be painting tomorrow even if everyone cancels so anybody can feel free to stop in whenever. It doesn't necessarily have to be an all-day commitment, it can be come-and-go if that's what works better for people. Even if you just want to stop in for a game I'll have a table up for that too.

My address is 1314 Conn Avenue and my cell phone is 291-5732 if you have trouble finding the place. See whoever shows up tomorrow!

Edit: at the moment it looks like myself, Carson, Trevor and possibly Darren.

I have all my painting gear packed up and I am ready for 10am tomorrow!

I primed a few more minis tonight. My BSB, Warlord, and my litter. I will be painting up my litter on Sunday if my Doomwheel is done tomorrow. If not I will finish my Doomwheel on Sunday.

Then I get to look forward to assembly line painting 40 clan rats at a time... good times. Only have to do that like 5 or 6 times before the core is done... Shocked

Now, I think I might just play a little Blood Bowl:Chaos Edition to relax. Smile

Thanks for hosting today Nathan. I would consider today a resounding success. Smile

I got to see some of a High Elf/Orc and Goblin match that was was even right until the last round. I love playing against Orc and Goblin, because of the crazy randomness of it all. I can't wait to fight them with Skaven. The chaos will be epic.

We got some of our younger players out to do some painting.

I got two of my Doomwheel, wheels done. I will try and finish off the model tomorrow or Monday night and snap some pics of it.

Great day.

Thanks to everyone who showed up, I got 2 games in and nearly finished painting my character so I'd say it was a productive day. I definitely think that we should make it a semi-regular thing, maybe once a month or so? I probably can't host all the time but I'd definitely be up for it every now and then.

Carson did. We were playing blood and glory and our generals were locked in a challenge. I broke his general but failed to catch him and then my general died due to dangerous terrain charging through a forest. He finished off my bsb and claimed victory. If I had killed or caught his general it would have been victory for me. It was a fun game though and there was much carnage across the board.

The challenge was epic indeed, we both kept passing ward saves and eventaully I lost to combat resolution. By that time he had taken 2 wounds and I taken 1 and 3 on the wyvern. After failing to catch me Nathan charged into the rear (dying to dangerous terrain on the way in) of a huge crucial combat between night goblins, orcs and elven spearmen.

It was a nail biter right to the end with both of us having multiple chances to win the game at times.

So, a High Elf general tripped on a tree root and died? I'm sure the goblins are still laughing about it. Carson, I hope you give Nathan the opportunity of a rematch. High Elves simply can't have that.

In the previous two rounds of combat he failed to wound the Orc general despite having rerolls to hit and mindrazor giving him S10. He deserved to trip on that root.
