The snow bases reminded me of a crappy horror-ish movie I saw a long time ago about undead nazis clawing their way out of the snow in Scandinavia or some such place. Can't remember the title, zombie nazis maybe? Anyway, I like them both. I liked the character that the snow gave and you could do cool things with icicles and ribcages. I also like the stark look of version 2. Makes them more ethereal looking.

The movie is Dead Snow, and it is not crappy. You're crappy!

Even though I'm still right about the snow - that was a good movie.

A couple more Black Knights' finished. I free-handed the Dragon symbol on the banner......army theme will hopefully reflect the Undead Host of Walach Harkon from the army book.

Those look great and the banner is another Carson special. My only criticism is that you wasted a perfectly good Warriors Halberd. Cool

Love the banner, I really like the stark look of this army. It's very moody.

This army looks very scary. Much more of an 'undead' feeling than any other VC army paintjob I've seen.

Finally got a bit more work done on the black knights as well as some armour work on my vampire lord, after battling a bad cold.

thoughts on the armour? Will in work to have the vampires in the army with this style of armour if all the rest of the figs are monochromatic?

I'm a big fan of the red armour. It will make the characters pop which is what you want I think. I like how this army is coming together.

This army is beautiful really. The sculpts are amazing, and the paintjob really is showing off the sculpts in my opinion. It is a top notch job.

Are you going to dirty up the white material on him like you did with your Black Knights? I thought that effect really brought it all together. This guy here still almost looks unfinished to me...

Ooops, missed this one. Great jon on the red armour! Did you use bronzed flesh mixed into the red for the highlight? Looks that way to me, which I like. Very strong, I'd like to see these in person!

I started with pure black and then kept adding reds and eventually orange to the mix. The final highlight was a few glazes of a light light brown-orange mix.

Some games played have resulted in a new wight king bsb. terrible pics but you get the idea

also, finally managed to finish off my gaming table. Aiden and I just had to test it out with a "all my models against all your models" deal.

necromancer done, love this fig. hope I did it justice.

2 units of spirit hosts. Had my doubts about these units but if used correctly they work brilliantly

I really like the dirty, grimy feel you're giving this army Carson. It fits the undead theme very well and looks almost cinematic if that makes sense. Like they've belong in a film student's indie zombie flick with all the cool lighting tricks and camera filters except they work in this case. I look forward to seeing this army on the table when it is finished.
