Anyone know where I can pick up a hot knife in Saskatoon for cutting foam?

I phoned around the city, and only Hobby World had one. And they only had ONE.\

I have a second question. I've read that most people prepare the polystyrene for painting using a mixture of wood glue, water, and sand. For those terrain builders out there, what has been successful for you?

I've got an old cheap one, I think I bought it at hobby world but I didn't really use it much. I found that a dremel tool worked just as good if not better (made more mess though). For prepping it for paint, I've heard that watered down glue and sand work well but ive always used the "stone texture" spraypaint. Most spraypaint a will dissolve styrofoam but the stone-texture spraypaint does not. It also gives it a slightly rough texture similar to what you would get with the glue and sand approach.
