That will fit very nicely into your army and you did a great job. It's still my favorite fig GW has ever produced - if anyone wants to disagree they are probably on drugs.

I love that model too. For me its a toss up between that and the green knight for best GW fig.

Nice job on the painting, looks great and will fit right in with your warriors. What's your recipe for the yellow skin?

Its the photos....quite different in the flesh. The skin is stormvermin fur, washed with agrax, codex grey, wash with leviathon purple, rotting flesh, white, spot washes of athonian camoshade.

Great pallete and well done. Great work! My thought as an army piece though is that it will blend in too well with the army. I think something like bright red wings or something would make sure it grabbed all the attention when it hits the table.

Very excellent work!

You know the first time I checked this thread, I thought you were linking the picture from a pro painter's site, or GW's site...

Holy shit. That is an amazing paintjob...

Thanks everyone. Good point Scott, Looking at it now the whole piece seems to melt together without a focal point. Needs something but I'm not brave enough to go the red wings things just yet. Other ideas anyone?

Add red or color to the base? Maybe a heat source. Could be melting snow as he walks...

Glowing eyes would make the face pop, and let you introduce a sharp contrasting colour.
