I was looking at trying out the last stand scenario this weekend is there anyone who would like to test it with me?

I won't be able to make it. Turns out that I have a good ol' fashion one day small town hockey tournament that day. Bring on the rink burgers instead of salonika beef dip!

question about 833 points

Post  Sandman on Mon Feb 27, 2012 12:51 am

Just a few questions to clarify:
So this 833 points is only comprised of units, core or otherwise??

Can someone send me a few more details about the scenario criteria (I'm not familiar with this particular set up).

Thanks,

Sandman

In the Heroic Last Stand Scenario there is an attacker and a defender. The attacker gets 2500 points and the defender gets 833. The defender deploys in an 18" x 18" square in the middle of the table and the attacker deploys anywhere outside of that, keeping a minimum distance away from the defender's units. The defender also plants a token somewhere in his deployment zone and any defending unit within 6" of that token is unbreakable. The game goes until the defending army is wiped out and the number of turns it takes determines who wins.

Yep that's right, the attacker also gets to recycle his core troops.

I will bring Ogres, unpainted as i am learning to paint and the giant looks funny. Will try to get one done for show, for 833 do i need a hero or lord?

If im reading the scenario right you can bring anything you want for your 833 points. You might want some characters for their leadership but you don't need them.

yeah i don't think you are bound by any of the regular list building rules thus I once fielded 1 daemon slayer (lord) a slayer gyrocoptor and 11 dragon slayers

I was considering 15 spawn, but no chance they'll be painted in time. Razz

With sportsmanship worth 30% of the total tournament points, that's probably for the best Wink

I'm bringing wood elves so no worries on that front! 833 points of elves will make a beautiful red stain by turn 2 or so.

You may. I may not be able to show, I think my dad is coming to visit. NOT, that I don't want him to visit, but, well - you know.....

Blasted!

Post  Sandman on Thu Mar 01, 2012 11:03 pm

Looks like I can't make it for the full day on Saturday. I might be available in the afternoon, if anyone just wants to play a regular game. But I can't compete in the full day affair.

Next time.........

Sorry about the delay with the outcome I have been very sick this week. But here is the results from the tournament. Eric was the overall winner, and the bugman award went down to a 2 way tie so the winne with the higher sportsmanship points one, and that was Don.
